2010 Life Path Challenge

Another week, another question that will make you think about the valuable issues of your life. Another way to share who you are someday with someone special who will be blessed in knowing you through the answers to these questions. If you are new here, page down to the previous challenge post entitled same as above and you will see how to participate. It's easy. As depicted in the picture above (a zentangle collage), our life is made up of many different parts and influences. I call it zentangle fashion.
Question:
WHAT OR WHO MOST SHAPED YOUR LIFE?

Give it some thought for the answer will reveal much of who you are today.
Enjoy. Coleen

I think def. what helped really shape my lafe is this: a few years ago I read a book about Martin Luther King, Jr. It was about the weeks before and after he wrote the I Have a Dream Speech. I read it and I loved it. It was so inspiring and moving. And right after I read the book, as a mere coincidence, I watched a film called Bobby-about Robert Kennedy. And the movie touched on everything Martin Luther King fought for, and everything RFK was fighting for. No more violence, peace, etc....and it really struck home.
So after that period, I just really try and stand up for what I believe it right. Peace, love, and happiness. :)

Pretty card. My life and faith was changed a lot by a lady, Lynn. She lead a Bible study at the church I attend, and I went to it for several years. One night, I went to Bible study and she came into the room, and announced that she could not teach, I would have to do it. I was so angry with her, but now I am so grateful, because she pushed me into a role I would never have assumed on my own. From there I ventured into leading studies myself, mentoring some ladies in the church, and helping with our ladies newsletter. Anyone who has ever lead a group knows that the teacher learns more from the preparation than the student, and I am forever grateful for the knowledge I gained through those times of preparation. Lynn remained my own mentor for many years, and is still a treasured friend, although we parted years ago when she moved away. I thank the Lord for putting her into my life.
