UKRAINIAN PRAYER SCRAPBOOKS

Here's my group of ladies doing their Prayer Scrapbooks for 2012. We have 15 in the group, though we are missing a few here. Each month and sometimes twice a month we've been meeting to get their books set up. We started in December for 2012, but some were so excited they wanted to start writing in the immediately so a few did December pages as well. I always love to see how creative Ukrainians are.

Looks like they really enjoy their craft times together.

Would really love to see some close up photos, do you use recycled nativity christmas cards or is it mainly drawing and writing?

Be lovely if I could share this with the Ugandan project I support.

Thanks for sharing

I use recycled Christmas cards, nativity and otherwise. People send me their old cards. Please share away. Also sometimes we just punch double holes in top and bottom of a card, string 3 0r 4 together with yarn and your pix can tell a story. Of course, you have to have plenty of cards, which I do. Blessings...

In short, it's a scrapbook (we use kid's drawing books here) divided by months. In each month they write their prayers and add any ephemera that relates to that month or those prayers. It can be photos, verse, song words, poems, daily ephemera, anything that beautifies and draws them back to the book. It becomes a great witness tool as well.
