Nostalgia

Just wanted to share with you these lovely bits of long ago. I think they came from my grandmother's home. She's been gone many years now, since I'm a grandmother as well. As a child we had the best holidays at her house which leaves for such fond memories. I only pray that I might create the same fond memories for my grandchildren as well.

If you'd like to see another lovely blog with some beautiful "nostalgia" just click on the title above to go to Faith, Grace and Crafts.

great designs.i really like your post.thanks for sharing your precious memories.Sometimes you will find clip art at big art supply stores. I think the big publisher is Dover. Any way, there are some really cool pieces that are the advertising type similar to the tight pinch block. It is one of the things i love to see in old ads like from a newspaper , they have a drawing of a guy in a hurry, or the mom in the kitchen with the poodle skirt

Hello!

I am very nostalgic, so I understand this post. I actually have some old bulbs like that as well.

That's really neat that you're a missionary in Ukraine. I used to think I'd like to do something like that, but I don't think it fits my personality very well. I'm going to follow you.

What wonderful memories. I love getting old items like that especially when there is a story of my childhood intertwined in it.

Oh, I so wish I could get lights like that! There isn't much of a tradition for lights here in Norway, and definitely not colored ones! I had a really hard time finding some small ones to hang in our living room.

I'm still collecting stuff to do a private swap with you again, but it's going slowly, I get so much scrapbooking supplies I just can't part with ;P

We had very similar lights when I was child. Ours were from Germany.

PS: Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving comments. Happy New Year too, may it bring joy and wonder.
