I have a few poppies this year that are "volunteer" in my garden. Most of the volunteers are usually very small and uninteresting, but this one was quite tall and lovely in all its minute detail. have you ever stopped to think about how a flower grows? It gets sustenance from the roots and it gets water. The same nutrients and the same water goes to all parts of that flower. What always amazes me....if that is the case...how come parts of the flower are green and parts are colored. Who created this miracle of chemistry that most of us simply take for granted?

It rained so much (in Indiana USA) that I didn't get to enjoy my poppies this year. Take time to SMELL the Roses (and see the Poppies!) Thanks for letting me enjoy yours.
P.S. I read that if you want to use Poppies for cut-flowers, you have to burn the tips of the cut stems. I see that red "Maltese Cross" peeking out!
Yes, it is so marvelous how God has left his mark in so many places. How can people be so blind as to not see him in his creation?
