ART VS. GARDENING
Last week tulips bravely shot up despite the snow and weather. I had a feeling they might be growing right under the snow and I was right as it rapidly melted back with the sudden onslaught of warm days. Spring is always my favorite time of year, like new beginnings of so many things. It is a time to feel refreshed and encouraged after a long winter of cold, snow and ice. So often I feel trapped in the house as it is so severe outside, but the one advantage is there is no garden distraction from my art. In summer I feel the pull of both and I enjoy both. What is included in my art is what I do with children and ladies in creating things. I enjoy it all and feel blessed that I've been given this ministry.

What fab pictures. Zo xx
Love your picture! I can relate ... I love to garden and art, and in Michigan when it's nice I want to be out side.
Thanks Zo, I just loved the contrast between the flowers and snow. Like a dichotomy of spring.
Yep, that's the strong pull....I always want to be outside.
I'm thankful for your ministry opportunity, too. :) How determined those tulips are. You have quite a change from winter to spring, I'm sure making it that much more special.
We've got just a few things starting to come up here in our yard! I did pick all the daffodils that had come up yesterday because the wind was blowing so hard that I didn't want them to be wrecked! :) We still haven't seen ice and snow though...hoping for a rainy spring so we can have a decent harvest!
Have a great night (or is it day where you are? :)
Sarah
I love everything about Spring. That first feeling of the warm sun on the skin. The return of 'green'. I love watching the trees wake up and I am always amazed how fast they wake up, hearing birds singing, being able to be outside, and the sounds and smells of Spring in general.
Happy Spring!
Greetings from Germany,
Gaby
Thanks Gaby, nice to meet you from Germany. We're almost neighbors, relative to the whole world that is. I love spring too. My favorite season when everything reawakens to new life.
Cool photos Coleen, we're going into our winter :( I like your reflection that there's no competition to your art during the cold months :))
Hi Coleen, thanks for your kind visit and your lovely comment! I'm now following you so I can see any future posts.
Wishing you a wonderful and joyful Easter!
Gaby
Yes, the winter has a way of limiting the distractions. It is so long and so cold here that come warm months I just want to be outside and I love the garden. Just another artistic expression.
Gorgeous photos, Coleen!
I am definitely following your lovely blog. :)
I hope you have a blessed Easter.

It's lovely to watch the plants battle through to come and give us the colour we so desperatly need after a long Winter. I love how that one day there is hardly anything anything and a couple of days of sun and everything blooms :0) Dxx
Hi Coleen, It's taken me a while to find you...thank you for following my blog...I am enjoying yours, it's so different and inspiring too...I love the pictures: I have lily of the valley flowers shooting through here now after all the rain, to me they are the signs of new life. I'll keep following you, take care xx
Hi Coleen, I'm just waiting for some nice warm weather to arrive and stay instead of teasing us. I do a bit each weekend on the garden and see changes almost every day now. I too love spring, it's like a renewing of everything. Whatever happened last year is forgotton and the garden is starting again.
Thank you Gaby. I like seeing your blog too. Such lovely work you do.
Thanks Mary, sure appreciate your visit. I love your map work.
Thanks for stopping by Dawn. I know it's pretty wet and cold where you live too, but at last it is dissipating.
Thank you for your kind words. I am honored that you follow.
Oh, Jainie, sweetie, thanks for staying in touch. Blessings to you.
