STENCILS AND SPRAYS IN YOUR ART JOURNAL

For those just starting out on an art journal here is a very simple, but effective technique in helping you get past the "white page" syndrome and lay down some texture.

Thanks for stopping by Jaine. I like the sprays and especially those with mica dust. Did you know you can make your own? Go to my Pinterest site and look under the mixed-media board for recipes to make it. DIY Recipes might be another spot that would interest you:

Beautiful, Coleen! I love the mica dust, reinkers and water sprays that I make. So many colors to choose from and then you can mix up your own experimental colors. ") I have not used the heavier paper journals yet and really like they way you are doing this. I started a study in the Psalms last summer while on summer break from my BSF (Bible Study Fellowship classes..which is an internationals by the way). I plan on continuing it this summer. Now I am inspired to get a white page book and do some stenciling before I start! Thanks so much for sharing!
