ART JOURNAL PAGES

On January 4th we arrived in the U.S. for missionary furlough. I took that as a good time to start a new art journal. So here are some of my first pages. The one with roses is done on foreign text which I love to use for backgrounds as it adds rather an air of mystery to a piece.

I'm glad to see your journaling still. I love the bottom one with the flowers, that's very arty and the doodled border is beautiful. Keep up the good work and have a good stay in the US.

Hi, Coleen! Where in the US are you? (kinda like....Where in the World is Waldo! LOL) I love the flower pages in your art journal. I've been trying to keep up with one...not easy as I help to care for 5 grandchildren....but I do so enjoy it when I have the time. I love the face behind the flowers on the second page...it is all so beautiful...

I've never tried an art journal. Do you write your life as well as decorate the pages? I do love the foreign languages for collage, too! Your pages are beautiful!

How long does your furlough last?

Coleen,

You inspired me to start an art journal for my many trips away from home. Looking at you first page it took me back to these old days at my grandma'a garden. It brings back fondle memmories. Keep them coming.
