ART JOURNALING IN AN ALTERED BOOK

These are a couple pages from a large 10" x 14" altered book I'm doing for a year-long class called Life Book 2014.  This was a lesson on using spray inks by Tamara LaPorte.  It was fun.  The page was gessoed and stamped. Dylusion inks, sent by my friend Cynthia Henderson in Texas, were sprayed and blown.  The silver leaves were hand-cut from a foil coffee bag.

  4. Great post! I always wondered what people meant when they said they were doing art journaling. Now I know.

  9. Real nice work! My aunt makes modern quilts and the second one really reminds me of something she made, funny how two different art forms can separately produce a similar feel.
Sounds like a very inspiring class you're taking!

  14. Lovely pages! I had considered Life Book, but didn't think I'd have the time to commit. I have been having fun playing along with a few Facebook challenges. Seems to be something I can do without having to keep up every week. I really like the white space with the dripping inks! and I love the tulip. Hope all is well for you. Still praying.

    God bless.
