These are a couple pages from a large 10" x 14" altered book I'm doing for a year-long class called Life Book 2014. This was a lesson on using spray inks by Tamara LaPorte. It was fun. The page was gessoed and stamped. Dylusion inks, sent by my friend Cynthia Henderson in Texas, were sprayed and blown. The silver leaves were hand-cut from a foil coffee bag.
I like the green you've used on these.
ReplyDeleteWow, you are such a good artist! I would love to be able to do anything even half as good as that!!

ReplyDeleteGreat post! I always wondered what people meant when they said they were doing art journaling. Now I know.

I always love seeing your art, you inspire me so much. Stay safe and I hope things settle down over there. I love your bird book and can look at it over and over again. (tatntole from swap-bot this time)
ReplyDeleteLove it! I want to learn how to use spray inks but I'd probably make a mess of it lol

Real nice work! My aunt makes modern quilts and the second one really reminds me of something she made, funny how two different art forms can separately produce a similar feel.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very inspiring class you're taking!

I LOVE the second one. It's absolutely stunning. I've never seen anything like it before.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! You are an awesome artist! Now following you on Google, Facebook, Network Blogs, and Pinterest :)
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be such a beautiful book!!! Love all the dripping ink!
ReplyDeleteLovely pages! I had considered Life Book, but didn't think I'd have the time to commit. I have been having fun playing along with a few Facebook challenges. Seems to be something I can do without having to keep up every week. I really like the white space with the dripping inks! and I love the tulip. Hope all is well for you. Still praying.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
