Sometimes when I play in my art journal it seems like it just happens on it's own. I prep pages and leave it. Later I come back and start flipping through and something peaks my interest and things start happening. This page was prepped with a bunch of scrapbook paper strips I had lying around. I wanted to use them up so one day I just glued them all down. It stayed like that in my book for a long time. You can't hardly see them for all the other stuff that happened on top, but that's just the fun of it. The right page has a quote that says, "Expect GREAT things from God, Attempt GREAT things for God." By William Carey. |

Coleen, I love to look at art journals, and yours are no exception! I tried art journaling once and I just don't think I have what it takes. Ha!
These pages are rich, textured and PACKED with visual goodness! Thanks for letting us see a peek at your journal pages =-)
Elizabeth keeps several art journals. What do you use to attach things to your pages? E uses Mod Podge, I wondered if there was something better.
I love the collage work. Your art journal pages do inspire me.
Hi I'm tamtamlee from swap bot...I love your art journal
I like the way the paper fills in the background on these. Great pages, as always, Coleen!
These are so wonderful. I do the prep thing too but never quite the way you did. I like!
ModPodge is great Ronda, but diluted Elmer's works great too and probably cheaper. That's what I use.
Yes, annie! everyone does it a bit different. That's what makes it so fun to see how others work. Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks, Mimi,,you're a sweetie.
Thanks, Patti, you are always an encourager. I so appreciate it. If I didn't teach so many classes I'd do more art, but I love teaching too, so it is what it is.
Thank you for visiting, Monica. You bless my heart.
Beautiful art journal. Gotta try that someday.
