FEATHER FUN ART JOURNALING
I've been asked to show my feathers. I can't tell you why I've been on a feather kick except that I like birds (2 bird themed altered books already completed) so I guess it is a natural to like feathers too. These two are cardboard (recycle), Sharpie pen, markers, glitter and pearl paints.
These were pretty easy too. I used double-sided tape on the wire and placed between a piece of music paper folded in half. Then I cut the shape I wanted, feathered with more cutting and spray/glittered. Easy peasy, try it.
Markers and Sharpie pen. Free hand-cut.
These pretties were hand-cut from a candy box. The cardboard was so pretty in it's silver and gold that I thought, I must do something with them. I used an ordinary pen (ballpoint) that just so happen to not work for the engraving.
More recycle with these from some product cardboard headed to the recycle bin. These I painted with watercolor in light pastels. Then used black Sharpie pen to draw. Over that I used glitter glue and some pearl paints. Leaves, feathers, whatever you want. Just fun to do and great to do in front of the TV. Give it a try.
Hi Coleen! Wow, what an amazing blog! I enjoyed my trip through all your pictures. You are super talented, really. And creative. These treasures are extremely beautiful. And all the details... Do you spend a lot of time doing these crafty pieces? This blog shows how you care and how important it is to you. It's a rare thing to see such a neat blog. :) I wish you all, all the best, all your works are great! It was great to visit you here and see your world. :) Huuus all the way from Poland! oooo, I love your feathers. I'm going to have to give this a try - think they would make a great addition to my altered books. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I do appreciate your comments. I have turned off my verification thing before actually a couple of times, but I always get spam. I don't know why that is, but it is pretty annoying. So I keep turning it back on. God bless - continuing to pray for you and for the Ukraine! Tricia
what a lovely blog. You are so creative. I LOVE the gold and silver feathers especially. I am not a religious person but I know that creative outlets are so so important in times of stress. I wish you and your community peace x
Holy smokes: Your feathers are stunning. My daughter and I do crafts on a regular basis and I think this might be our weekend subject! Thanks for the inspiration.
I love the ones with music paper They look like bookmarks to me, what a cool idea! You works are really interesting, I wish I could have more time to do craft. Happy Easter, Krizia- swapbot
