I posted this on my Facebook page because I liked it so much. I have a whole garden path with stones like this. Well the big ones anyway. It is such a cute idea I want to do it in my garden next spring. These are what I call river rocks. You can't find them just anywhere, but they are plentiful in the rivers of western Ukraine. I just like rocks. Ever since I was a kid I collected rocks and shells. I collect sea glass while at the Black Sea as well. Haven't found what I will do with it, but I like it. I even paint on rocks....flowers, words, squiggles and then I leave them for strangers to find. I'll post some of those later too. Have a good week. |
love the images you're sharing here! Also loved the post about journaling my WOTY in a creative way - I will make some time to it this week for sure!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you Coleen and may 2013 bring you Abundant Possibilities!
So glad, I liked this images too. Also glad to hear about the journaling.
DeleteYou can find me on Facebook by looking for Coleen Franks Ukraine to get the right one. Lots more fun pictures there that I post regularly.
ReplyDeleteI love stones. I collect rocks of all description. They just have to tweak my interest an itty bit to be picked up and brought home. Love the idea that you leave painted rocks for others.
ReplyDeleteannie! I can see you are an addict, just like me. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteI saw that on FB too :)
ReplyDeleteRocks are always winking at me when I am out in nature ... one year we brought home quite a few pretty ones from the Moorman River in the Virginia countryside (my husband is a very good sport about that sort of thing, he even brings me heart shaped rocks now and then)...
Thank you for visiting my Magpie's Nest and for leaving the crown link which is really wonderful! I am drawn to so many of them for lots of different reasons along with the masks :)
Happy New Year!

Glad you came by again, Patty. I love your art work. Inspires me to do more. Happy New Year to you too. May it be blessed.
DeleteThese are cute little feet. I like your idea of painting a rock and leaving it for someone to find. Hmmm, I have a bag of collected rocks hanging around.
ReplyDeleteProceed with caution, Patti. Rock painting can get addictive. If you leave some for strangers, take a picture where you left it and post here:

DeleteHi Coleen, I collect sea-weathered china and porcelain - there's a surprisingly large amount of it on the beaches in Cumbria! I also want to have a go at what lil fish studios does with the rocks she collects - great idea don't you think!

This is just too cool! It always amazing me to see the neat ideas people come up with. It really does make a difference what kind of goggles you put on. We all see the world in different ways.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful and I love the idea. I think that is awesome that you paint rocks for people to find. What a cute idea.
